Lervig’s nitro stout is a dry Irish stout brewed with a good roasty hoppy balance. It’s use of nitrogen and the gas trapping capsule aka “widget” releases nitrogen when opening the can to create a smooth mouthfeel combined with a dry but full taste. Easy to drink yet packed full of flavor, Lervig Nitro stout will satisfy your dark urges.

Darker brownish blackish. Aroma is chocolate raisin light rum. Taste is dry with light mushroom and chocolate and quite a pronounced sourness. A bit strange.

0.44 l can from 'Beyond Beer', best before March 2026. Black with a thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, burnt bread crust and some ash. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, malty, quite roasty, taste of burnt bread crust, coffee, dark chocolate, roasted hazelnut and light ash, followed by a short, gently roasty-bitter finish. Medium body, smooth and almost oily mouthfeel, flat. Solid.

Best before 12/24, I have bought this can at Stumpf Getränkmarkt, Ingelheim, 08/23. Opening this can after to move it a bit, yesterday, at the afternoon, Epalinges. This is better than the guiness versio , in my opinion, roasty malt, oat, coffee, bitter, creamy, a bit watery, well brewed for the style.

Can courtesy of Brada, thx! Black body, off-white head. Dry roasty aroma, empty. Empty dry taste, lightly roasty, ending astringent. Manages to be tasteless somehow.
