Aromas of milk chocolate, and roasted malts dominate with a hint of vanilla and just a touch of spicy cinnamon to finish. Canela is light in body with a creamy mouth-feel thanks to the addition of Lactose Sugar. This Horchata style Milk Stout was made with rice in the mash, staying true to the Mexican dessert it was inspired by.

473ml can. Pours an opaque dark brown, almost black with a small, creamy, short lived, tan head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon and day old coffee. Sweet, spicy flavour of grainy roasted malt, lactose, milk chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, oats and day old coffee in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Not bad, but almost too sweet for me.
