Balboa isy least hated among all the Panamanian macros so I figured I'd give this a try. I suppose my faith was misplaced. Water, paper and more water. Vague indications of unpleasantness but really just water. It's also super frozen so any issues are well hidden on a frozen tongue. At least it's better than Atlas Golden. Bottle at the fish market in Panama City.

Can purchased in downtown Colon, Panama. 4.8 ABV. Pours a pale gold color with a fizzy white head that disappeared fast. No lacing. High carbonation. Pours like a soda. Light grain nose. Tastes like a watery malt liquor. Flavor dominated by grains. Nothing bad, but nothing much. Regular Balboa is slightly better.

12oz can-trade with jtclockwork. disappearing white-pale yellow. A-corn mash, barn, some earthy. T-corn/lt malt-some caramel, some earthy hops. Plenty of carbonation when cold, which is the way to have this. Not bad. As it warms it becomes like malta cereal. 2.4

Big thanks to max for bringing this to the 10k tasting an important brew to be seeked out for sure. Standard golden pour with stale corny nose. Tastes of sweet corn, grains, malt, and skunk. Fine beer for sipping while collecting worms from jungle floor.

Can. A hazy pale yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of straw. The flavor is sweet with primary notes of straw, but also a light metallic note. The body is thin.
