Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse. Atlas. Hmmm. Had this in a dark, sketchy cantina in Casco Viejo I wondered in for the hell of it. The only good thing about it is it’s superior to Panama lager. Not quite at the lofty heights of Balboa though - not quite within the realm of drinkable. It’s gotta be ice cold just to chug back a few gulps.

From my dear roommate: Pours straw color with a small white head. Aroma is of corn and not very much else. Taste is slightly sweet with some bread. I drank this as a chaser for taking vodka shots and this worked out pretty well for that, but as everyone is probably aware, this beer is not really made for sipping. I didn’t find it offensive though.

Had this way back in the day in Boquete. The taste was foul, a sour corn mix with alcohol and an antiseptic finish. Panama had some bad beers and this was the worst of them.

Canned. Pale yellow colour, minimal white head. Aroma is paper, rice and some slight malts in it. Flavour is dry paper, maize and 99% (or more) water.

Canned. Pale yellow, brief head. Sweetish, bland and light bodied with evident corn flavour and clean flavour profile. Empty metallic finish without bitterness.

Can
Very pale yellow color, not much head. Very light fruity and cardboardish aroma. Watery, papery, cardboardish tropical lager. Really "non offensive" and watery, taste is next to nothing.

Can
Pale color. Very light malt aroma. Weak mouthfeel, watery flavor, no malt, just the correct bitterness. Useless.
