Alkavaan syksyyn Panimomestarimme loihti tasapainoisen ja täyteläisen Kaura Stoutin.
Tämä suodattamaton ja pikimusta pintahiivaolut on valmistettu neljästä eri maltaasta. Suuntuntuma on paahteinen, makeahko, runsas. Humaloinnissa on käytetty Styrian Goldings- humalaa.

Draught i Turku. Pitch black with a brownish-tan head. Flowery hoppy nose, cocoa, soap, honey. Creamy malty taste, vague strawberry notes. Light herbal hoppy finish. Remarkably empty after a good aroma.

Draught@Teerenpeli Kamppi, Helsinki. Quite much pitch black colour, small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, mild sourness and some mild notes of hops. Flavour is quite much the same. Pleasantly balanced, but would be nice to see what the sourness would be like in one week (if keg is not changed before that).

Draught @SOPP 2011. Poured black with a thin beige head. Oatmeal and caramel malt in aroma. Flavor is oatmeal, chocolate and roasted malt. Quite dry finish. Average.

Very light aroma with some smoke. Flavour is light and slightly sour with smoke and harsh oat malt. Too thin and harsh, also the sourness does not fit here.

Dark opaque black color, small beige head. Roasted, a bit vegetably nose. Medium-bodied. Chocolaty, coffeish and toasted with some vegetably notes. Drying finish. Lacks something for being good oatmeal stout.

(Draught at SOPP’11, 20110728) The beer poured black. Its head was quite small and almost white. Aroma had boiled vegetables and roasted malts. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, mild sourness, liquorice, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was dry, roasty and bitter. Aroma was too unpleasant but taste was ok.
