Clear mahogany with a medium beige head. Sweet flavour with roasted malt, caramel and coffee notes. Sweet flavour with roasted malt, rye bread and caramel notes. Finished sweet.

Dark brown. Deep chocolate aroma with toasty, breadcrusty nots. Dry, thin, with light coffee and toasty breadcrust character. It’s all right, but I definitely would prefer some sweetness to help pull all these flavours across the palate.

Bottle, thanks pivnizub. Red brown, golden foam. Crisp hoppy nose with a burned sugar follow-up. Chewy sweet-roasted base, molassis, light oranges, fitting bitter balance. Typical medium to light body. Roasted aftertaste.

Bottle: Deep chestnut-amber coloured, slowly collapsing fluffy beige head; distinctive sweet nutty and roastmalty nose; light bodied, moderate sweet-bitter flavour, cacao and nuts in the drier roastmalty finish. Very good, well crafted Schwarzbier which is likely a wrongly labelled Dunkel...........

(bottle) Dark brown, almost black colour with a medium-sized beige foamy head. Light-sweet, earthy and leafy roast-malty aroma with coffee, burnt caramel and a tinge of herbal, slightly metallic hops. Bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Roast-malty, quite dry taste with burnt and coffee notes; dry and moderately bitter and roasty finish. Decent Schwarzbier (09.06.08).

Bottle. Light coffee malt aroma. Dark opaque brown color with tiny head. Coffee malt flavor with hints of dark chocolate. Light body on the watery side. Nice but would be better with more body.
