Bottle: Greenish-golden coloured, slowly collapsing white loose head, traces of really aromatic in the grainy-bitter nose; moderate clean bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; aromatic dry hoppy finish. Yes, really good, this Pils der Karl-Marx-Städter.....

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Slightly grainy pale malty aroma with flowery, slightly citric and herbal hoppy notes. Moderately bitter flavour, rather light bodied with a dry mouthfeel (“hochvergoren”) and a crisp carbonation. Soft pale malty base with an aromatic hops profile by German standards; dry and bitter finish with herbal and slightly grassy hoppy accents, accompanied by just a delicately malty sweetness. Really not bad, lacks a little bit balance and body. 22.VI.12

Bottle in dark green, a bit complex. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild, modest dry. Light bitter background. Interesting sweet-malty notes. Well balanced, finish modest dry. Quite drinkable. Tastes better than it looks!
