(Can, Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival, 29 Sep 2022) Black colour with frothy, brown head. Malty, roasted nose with espresso, cacao, black bread and oak wood. Malty, roasted taste with notes of espresso, cacao, blueberries, oak wood, cognac and a generous coffee bitterness in a warming, slightly boozy, finish. Full body, quite sweet. Quite powerful, but really tasty and fairly well balanced for its strength. Very nice.

Can@SBWF2022. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is cognac, toast, liquorice, alcohol and some slight wooden and vanillaish tones. Flavour is liquorice, some cognac, wood, mild wooden tones with vanilla and some toffee tones. Very smooth palate.

[ As The Pine Ridge Imperial Stout Cognac ].
ABV: 12.0%. Clear dark red brown colour with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, dark malt, barrel - wood - oak, cognac. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, caramel, dried fruit, roasted - chocolate, barrel - oak, cognac. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20221227]

Sample from can at SBWF 2022. Poured black in color. Pleasant, albeit borderline strong cognac aroma. Woody and roasty. Warming, sweet finish. Bit edgy, aging maybe could make this one even better.
