Not really an "extra": nice pale golden color and a White head, but Less alcohol, less bitterness, less tatse.

Clear glass bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear golden with a smallish, creamy white head. Good malt aroma with flowery hops. Medium body, surprisingly full malt flavor again with good floral hops. The finish is a little short with next to no bitterness. I like the irony of calling the beer Extra when you reduce the alcohol with about 50%. However in spite of this, the beer is actually surprisingly full-flavored. 171024

Bottle at home, clear golden beer, small head. Aroma is malt, sweet, wort. Taste is the same, sweet, malt, grain, wort, dough. Extra what? Extra mediocre? Meh

# 3869; 9/2023. As Warsteiner Extra Pilsener. Skunk and cardboard aroma. Brilliant gold body; poor white head. Skunk, grainy, corn, floral. Bad low alcohol pale lager. 0,33 l, clear-glass bottle, supermarket, Tübingen (Swabia, Germany).

330ml bottle. Clear, golden colour with average, frothy to creamy, moderatly lasting and lacing, white head. Weak, slightly grainy, pale malty and minimally musty, doughy yeaty aroma. Taste is watery, grainy, pale malty, minimally doughy yeasty, subtle residual sweetness, mildly bitter, hoppy counterpart with a metallic touch and very weak, citrusy overtones. Watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Simple, monotonous, expressionless - authentic, standard Warsteiner junk.

Mild getreidig-herber Beginn. Leicht hopfig, süffig, überraschenderweise ist der geringe Alkoholgehalt kaum erkennbar. Ansteigende Herbe, mittellanger Abgang - nett. 7/8/9/8/8/8

0.33 l bottle from local 'Getränke Hoffmann', best before October 2023. Clear, golden with a medium large, foamy, stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, gently grassy aroma of grains and some straw. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, gently grassy taste of grains, some straw and maybe traces of lemon peel, followed by a short, gently bitter, hardly dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Hardly any difference to a normal Pilsener, no low alcohol nastiness, not even thin or unusually dry. Good thirst quencher, definitely a nice surprise at such low abv.
