Kenmerken
Frisse granige aroma’s in de neus met een typisch kruidig accent van Chouffe bieren. Een frisfruitige body waarin een zachte bitterheid naar voren komt. De lichte bitterheid vloeit uit in een eerder droge afdronk. Verfrissend en dorstlessend.

Bouteille 33cl au 'Le Baudoin' à Gembes avec Vincent, Isa et Maria.
Dorée pâle, col épais crémeux blanc.
Au nez, le tout est assez classique belge avec un côté céréales plus marqué avec un léger fruité en retrait - cela reste cependant de l'ordre du vu et revu pour ce style de bière.
Assez basique pour se mettre dans la tendance des NA. Sensation d'empâtage avec un léger retrait fruité partant sur le citronné.

NA has become one of the more exciting styles these past couple of years, owing to an explosion of innovation. An NA Chouffe is one of those really cool innovations. The colour is whatever, a dullish amber, with haze, but a pretty thick head. The aroma is really good for non-alc. You have that worty base you expect, but then layered is the estery influence of Belgian yeast, abundant coriander as per Chouffe, clean pale malts, Styrian Goldings. Best aroma in the non-alc category so far. On the palate, this has a good dose of bitterness, biscuity malts, estery complexity...so it's the same as on the palate...the most refined, complex non-alc I've ever had. Leaves a nice lacing down the side of the glass and everything. Damn, is there a better non-alc out there?

Bottiglia. Il naso vira verso fruttato, anguria (!) e floreale. La finezza olfattiva è elevata, permanendo in maniera apprezzabile. Il manto birroso superiore resiste poco. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana media. Il liquido appare velato. Il colore è giallo dorato brillante. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è medio. La forza gustativa è normale e si prolunga in modo sufficiente. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di facile beva. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. Al gusto vengono donati toni di miele, frumento, mais cotto, frutta secca, agrumi e spezie.

Wheat and lemon aroma. Yeast and wheat taste, lemon and coriander, medium sweetness.

Clear golden beer with a white head. Aroma of citrons, sweet wheat malt, some banana. Taste of citric lemonade, wheat malt, banana, easy to drink.

330mL bottle, best before March 2025, drunk at Publick House, 5/32/24. Hazy golden-bronze. Medium-sized, white head steadily to partial cover. Fruity, with nutty wheat and a bit of wort. But of spicy yeast, gentle herbal hops and more wort. Tastes kind of like lemon iced tea. Some tea-like character as the floral hops mix with worry notes and light, citrusy acidity. Thin-ish body. I haven't had a Chouffe in a decade, but this doesn't seem very chouffe like. We've gog to find a way past the wortiness in like 95% of NA beers.

Bottle from Livonia Liquor as NA Chouffe. Pours a clear gold with a finger of white foam that lingers. Light aromas of lemon, wheat and mineral on the nose. Good carbonation, but lacking the classic Chouffe characteristics. Surprisingly solid lacing down the glass. Refreshing, but not much going on besides the lemon zest, wheat and scratchy mineral notes. Very drinkable.

--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Almost clear golden, mid sized head head. Faint perfumy nose. Dry with light body and clean, sharp mouthfeel. Metala and yeast, garin and mild floral notes. Mid bitter finish.

Pours a mostly clear golden body and a frothy white head with fair retention. Aroma's: smells vegetal, wort, a bit perfumey and sulfury. Retronasal: vegetal mostly, quite unpleasant, a bit fruity. Flavour is light fruity sour and not much else. Light bodied. Finishes with a short bitterness, then somewhat dry and unpleasant wortiness. I don't understand why they market this under the Chouffe moniker, as it's not even vaguely reminiscent of La Chouffe.

Klare gelbe Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Hopfiger, getreidiger Geruch. Geschmacklich leicht grasig hopfig, getreidig, leicht malzig. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, leichter Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.
