Bottle. Slightly sweet earthy barley malt and light grass hops aroma. Hazy pale yellow color with large white head. Wow - flavor is a total surprise - sweet-tart lemon peel and light malt flavor - almost like a witbier. Enjoyable but way different than the typical Zwickel.

Bottle 500ml. @ home.Unclear light to medium yellow orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, toasted, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate to light heavvy sweet and moderate bitter with a average duration, good balance and fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20100114]

Bottle:Pale golden, hazy, lacy mid-sized white head; distinctive sweet pale-malty and (noble-) hoppy nose; solid sweet-bitter flavour, soft, light to medium bodied; impressive aromatic-hoppy and sweet-malty finish. Franconian beer is simply better.......

(bottle) Hazy, pale golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Slightly sweet malty aroma with light grainy and subtle fruity notes, accompanied by grassy and herbal hops. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a crispy mouthfeel. Minimal yeasty pale malty taste with subtle fruity notes and grassy and herbal hoppy accents; quite dry, slightly bitter and hoppy finish with notes of walnuts in the aftertaste. 17.XI.09

Bottled. Pale yellow colour, mediumsized white foamy/bubbly head. Aroma is mild citrus along with some grass, wood and also bready malts. Flavour is grass, some mild yeastyness as well as some doughy notes. Mild fruityness lurking in the background as well.

Bottled at PBF. Hazy golden, small head. Grassy nose. Doughy and sweetish. Medium bodied with soft mouthfeel. Grassy hops together with ligt yeastiness, increasing late bitterness.

Bottled (PBF, sampled as a sauna beer). Golden color, small white head. Herbal hoppy, grainy malty aroma. Herbal grassy flavor, medium-body. Uninspiring but ok Zwickel.

Ceramic mug. Slightly herbal, twig-like aroma. Soft, with a gentle bitterness and slight creaminess. Dryish finish lends it drinkability.
