Every stoker needs a secret stash of stout to slake their thirst. Ours is dark and creamy with rich notes of coffee and chocolate so you can fuel your engine with flavour, not booze.

We’ve blended oats and roasted barley with cacao and vanilla to create a luxurious oat milk stout. With notes of coffee and chocolate, a hint of sweetness and dry finish, it’s totally delicious.

330ml can from Cairn Lodge Services, M74 - Unappealing black cola look to this, tan froth goes in seconds, leaving fizzy bubble lines. Chocolate roasted start, sweetness, tell-tales signs of alcohol absence, sweetish lactose finish. Malty, chocolatey, easy going.

Can from Luvians St Andrews. It pours black with a deep tan head. The aroma is dark roasted malt, dark chocolate, espresso coffee, chocolate covered coffee beans and liquorice. The taste is dry, rich roasted, charred, slightly ashy, plenty of dark roast coffee, bitter - sweet dark chocolate, cacao nibs, bourbon biscuits and light tannin with a dry roast finish. Light+ body and moderate carbonation. Quite impressive for a Nokia stout. Well done.

20/6/2023. Can shared by Colin, cheers. Pours close to black with a short lasting bubbly beige head. Aroma of cocoa, coffee, chocolate, caramel, light roasted malt, hint of ash. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness and body. Slightly oily, quite fizzy. Not bad considering it's at NA beer.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 15/03/23. Black with a good sized tan head that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is mellow roast, toffee, cocoa powder, ashen tones, earthy. Taste comprises light charr, dark malts, toffee, cocoa powder, ashen tang, dried fruit rinds, raisin biscuit mix. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close with an earthy roasted bite. Not had too many AF porters/stouts but this one is right up there and nails the brief very well and outscoring many of its ABV laden contemporaries.
