Sonsie/ sɒnsi./ adjective. Someone or something which is jolly, attractive or cheeky. e.g. ‘Fair fa yer honest sonsie face’ (From Robert Burns ‘Address to a Haggis ) This is a cheeky wee traditional IPA with a vibrant hop profile, a crisp refreshing taste and a dry finish. We know Rabbie himself would have approved.
Tasting Notes: With a Hop bill including Willamette and Simcoe, our traditional IPA has a refreshing, crisp taste, spicy, herbal and fruity notes, enjoyable depth and a dry finish.

330ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - cheers Graham!]. Minimally cloudy, amber xolour with small to average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally earthy and leafy, fruity hoppy aroma, pale and caramel malty background, hints of orchard fruit, red and yellow apple, a touch of tea. Taste is slightly earthy and leafy, minimally fruity hoppy, minimally spicy, pale and caramel malty background with some residual sweetness, hints of tea, a touch of red apple, yellow apple; mild hop bitterness, lingering, dry finish.
Minimally oily, watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously slightly dry palate, fine, soft carbonation.
Quite traditional indeed, more Bitter than IPA for me, can't get any Simcoe - OK.

Bottle from Marshall's Farmshop. It pours clear amber with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is earthy, sappy, woody, brown bread, herbal, spicy, nutty and a hint of lemonade. The taste is firmly dry, spicy bitterness, floral, grassy, woody, sappy, earthy, brown bread and some nuttiness with a drying finish. Medium body and fairly high, foamy carbonation. A bit old school, but drinkable enough.

Panda at home, thanks to Edward Danlo, 09/03/23. Almost clear golden to light amber with a good sized lasting white crown. Nose is orange rinds, grass, herb, straw, faint medicinal tones. Taste comprises toasted grains, lemon nip, biscuit, straw, hedgerow. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so affair.
