Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, sweet thin smoke - butter, cardboard notes. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft to flat. 50 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is yeasty and light plastic smoked. Smoked, wooden and light plastic. Dry and burned plastic smoked finish.

Bottled. A hazy light golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of smoke and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of smoke, straw, and malt, leading to a dry finish. The body is thin.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of Schroppfy. Only 2.6% ABV in this version. Pours a pale yellow with a slight haze and a small rough white head. Very buttery nose with a slightly smoky edge. Light body, a little low in carbonation, smoke and cardboard with a fairly bitter finish. Not all bad - the diacetyl seems to disappear as you get into the beer. 311011

RATING # 5.000 - bottle @ 2.6% ABV, kindly donated by Schroppfy! Finally, a Grodziskie/Grätzer style beer. I was loking forward to the style being revived - now I’ve got it here in my glass. Cloudy, pale golden-brown colour, small off-white head leaving bits of lacework in the glass. Shy aroma of smoke. Very light-bodied start, quite smoky at the beginning, the smoke getting fainter later on. Shy malty-wheaty background flavours, with a pleasant bitterness lingering about. That all goes very well together with the smoke. Highly drinkable, perhaps due to the rather low carbonation level and even refreshing, yet very unusual. I always thought that it was similar to a Berliner Weisse only with some smoe - it is not, there is absolutely no sourness detectable as it would be in a Berliner Weisse.
