Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Golden amber brown colour, thin off-white foam head and aroma of malt, bready, caramel, dried fruit. Taste is sweetish malty, some toffee & caramel notes, fruity, nutty, alittle spice, and some bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Aroma is malty, toasted, caramel, light spice, nut and fruity cake. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Hint of tart. Medium body, slightly oily, average carbonation. Some drying developed to finish. Enjoyable, even in summer.

500ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo, arrived with the last box right before UK's insulation - thanks a lot and Happy Christmas!]. Clear, copper-ish, chestnut colour with average, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Toasty, nutty, caramel malty and floral, minimally fruity, hoppy aroma, hints of toffee, toasted nuts, a touch of petals, very cautious hints of red berries. Taste is slightly dry, floral hoppy and toasty malty, hints of hazelnut, a touch of petals, moderate hop bitterness. Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine and soft carbonation. Very clean, rather simple, relatively hoppy - OK.
