Bottled. A hazy dark red beer with a light tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and a bit of spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, spices, and caramel as well as light notes of bread, leading to a dry spicy finish.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of blutt59. Pours an orangey brown with a tiny off-white head. Sweet roasted nose, some dark dried fruits. Medium body, carbonation is a little low, Overripe dark dried fruits, quite some roast and an edge of tartness. No real bitterness but some lingering alcohol notes. 220611

Refrigerated bottle through trade with cavie poured into a shaker glass. Pours a very dark brown with medium brown highlights and little beige head. A little lacing, medium body, and low carbonation. Taste is light caramelly malt, raisen, some biscuit, some nuttyness, some hops, and a hint of chocolate. Typical scotch ale taste, alcohol is well covered, and this is good for the style.

Bottle from ericandersnavy. Pours really dark brown with a foamy light tan head. Rich, nutty dark roast malt aroma. Medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is nutty, smokey, dark malt. Seems to be some hop bitter as well. Not at all sweet. Grabs at the finish - strong flavors. Just excellent.

On tap. Pours with a small, light brown head over a very dark brown body. Good lacing. Aroma of light peat and some dark fruits. Relatively weak. Taste is peet, maple, stone, with a decently strong alcohol presence, a bit of caramel in the finish. Syrupy mouthfeel, light bubbles.
