ChrisOs ’Donkey Dork Lord’ Pre-GBBF Tasting. Light haze on this amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Light smooth malt with a bretty like streak. Finishes semi dry. Interesting!

24/06 0.33 l bottle, Batch 368, shared with Marko. Great thanks Timo for bringing the beers here! This one poured slightly hazy deep golden body with medium sized, slightly yellow head. Strong aroma, herbal hops with biscuit and honey malt. Flavor is sweet, interesting and complex for a strong lager, orange and herbal hop, biscuit, fruity like peach, sugary. Full sticky body with long and nice sweet finish. Slightly warming near the very end. Interesting brew, but a bit too sweet for my taste.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - erä #368 - 8.3 % ABV, from Alko Arkadia, 20110804) The beer poured deep golden and clear. Its head was dense, white and long lasting. Aroma had malts, hops, paint thinner and hops. Palate was medium bodied and almost burning with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, sweetness, hops, grass, alcohol and bitterness. Aftertaste was alcoholic and bitter. Alcohol could have been more hidden. Now the burning and its "flavour" and "scent" were displeasing.

Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011. Cloudy gold pour with a moderate, white head. Sweetish, grassy aroma, slight tartness. Sweet flavor, mild grain malts. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Faintly warming finish, bit of sugar and cereal malts. Fair.

330ml bottle from Alko Arkadia
Pours dark orange with a small foamy head. Aroma is malty with notes of glue. Taste is malty and stingy. Smooth, slightly bitter finish. Decent, unbalanced.

33 cl bottle @ EEIPAF. #368: BBE 1.2.2012
Rather weird and stale aroma with grain and sweat. Flavour has booze, grain, sweet malt, some hops and spices. Not very nice, alcohol comes through too much.

Bottle, batch 368, courtesy of the generous Pekko (thanks Timo!), shared with heavy. It Poured a full misty amber body with a small white head that went away at a medium pace. Sweet gluey malty nose. Peachy taste ending biscuity, sweet, not bad, but not nearly as bitter as I’d expected. Notes of tea. Not too sticky for the abv, but it’s not that refreshing. All in all, good for a strong lager!
