Bottle from Quack-Duck, thanks! Pale golden color. Soft herbal grassy aroma. Malty bready grassy flavor. Slightly herbal. Well balanced brew.

*Old rating. Best before 12.11.04. Würzig-süffiges Bier. Leicht süßlich, getreidig-malziger Körper, nicht zu tief, feinherb-malzig im Nachgeschmack. Nett.

Süßlich heller Antrunk, leicht hopfig und würzig. Die Hopfigkeit wird einen Ticken intensiver, die Malzigkeit legt ebenfalls zu. Dann konstant bleibend, süffig, unspektakulär. OK. 8/8/9/8/9/8

Draught at Ratskeller in Pforzheim, Ausshank of the brewery
Deep blond color. Some malt aroma without anything exceptional; it has a simple but pleasant dry malt profile.

The export is light and sweet and moderately spicy aftertaste. The aftertaste is somewhat bitter. Neat.

Bottle looks simple, but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild, modest grasy-spicy, modest dry. Finish still mild, shows some sweet notes. Could be a bit more intense, but not bad!

Bottle: Cardboardy-grainy nose, pale golden, small white head; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied and a bit sticky; sweet grainy and slight metallic finish. Not really a pleasure.....

from BTO 03/2007, bottel bought at Ruppaner KN: Hopfiger Duft. Sehr hopfig-kräuterartiger Geschmack, wirklich deutliche Kräuternoten. Gleichzeitig auch malzig-süßlich, mehr im Hintergrund. Trockener Nachgeschmack. Eine interessante Ausbalancierung von Malz und Hopfen, sowie die ausgeprägten Kräuteraromen machen dieses Bier interessant.

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Sweet malty nose with a touch of biscuits and herbal, also a bit metallic hops. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a crispy carbonation. Hearty malt-accented taste with a touch of cara-malt, biscuits and herbal spice; medium-dry sweet-bitter and delicately herbal hoppy finish. A good Export. 19.V.10
