Bottle from Ericandersnavy, thanks! Dark brown color, cloudy. Roast, smoke and milk chocolate in the delicate aroma. malty sweet, creamy flavor with roast and chocolate milk. Notes of alcohol. Maybe a tad thin, but very drinkable.

12 oz. bottle, sent by BrewtopiaofPJ (thanks a lot, Mark) - explodes upon opening - pours an amber-tinged dark murky brown with a large brown / beige head. Aroma brings out rich notes of bourbon, big caramel malts, scotch malts and toasted nuts. Flavour is very nice, with notes of bourbon and caramel upfront. The flavours are very rich, but somehow the body is very thin and the carbonation is stupidly high -- is the carbonation really supposed to be like this or is this bottle messed up? Either way, good flavour, poor mouthfeel. Has a lot of potential, but off the mark.

Cloudy dark red - brown beer. Frothy tan head. Minerally woody vanilla nose. Light airy palate. Fresh tasting beer - breezy dark malt, a little vanilla wood. Spritzy minerals and and a whisper of something sour. Dash of coca cola. Finishes softer bit overall still quite crisp. Unusual and very decent.

Bottle. #236/480. Pours a hazy murky brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity woody oaky aroma with bourbon hints. Sweetish fruity woody malty dark fruit flavor. Has a sweetish malty woody bourbon finish with hints of dark fruit and vanilla in the aftertaste.

Bouteille partagée avec Markwise. Updated rating. Brune foncée, fine mousse beige. Léger malt et tonneau, le Makers Mark ressort bien et donne une fine couche de vanille. Au palais, je note la même impression de malt grillé, tonneau aussi la présence des fruits noirs de Big Sound se font bien notés tout comme le bon goût de malt grillé et aspect de brune de la Bolita. Le côté un peu houblon de l’improvisacion semble un peu atténue. Bizarrement après avoir eu la version ’4’ de cette bière, le batch 3 ne me fait plus la même impression.

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, dark malts, dark dried berries, grape - red wine, wood, moderate alcohol - bourbon. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, barrel - wood, red wine - bourbon. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100906]
