Tap at Dynamo. All I wanted was a simple, straightfoward, malt-centered English porter and I wouldn’t have mind a light body, on the contrary, but this is waaaay to light and both the aroma and flavour don’t really make up for it.

440ml can from the Beer Bank, Kuala Lumpur City Centre. Poured almost black in colour with a mostly lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is roasty malt, light caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet and liquorice bitter, with a smooth, roasty, sweet toffee caramel, dry ashtray, earthy, liquorice bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation. A solid Porter.

Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter fiish. Creamy palate. Nice.

Cask at Cardinal, Stavanger. Black colour, beige head. Nice roasty aroma and flavour, dry, with notes of mild coffee and chocolate, hints of roasted nuts and prunes.

Endelig befinner jeg meg i trygge omgivelser! Mi2 på Cardinal feb-23, og denne klassiske engelske porteren fra cask er en hyggelig og imøtekommende bekjentskap. Lettdrikkelig er den også. Brunsvart med fint skum som varer. Mild duft av kaffe, røstet malt og sjokolade. Litt nøtter og noe urteaktig i tillegg i den gode smaken. Slank og elegant.

2023-02-20: On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours clear dark brown with beige head. Aroma of coffee, nuts, chocolate, pine needles, some fruity notes. Taste has little sweetness and bitterness. Thin bodied, some roasted finish. 2023-07-13: From cask at På Kornet, Stavanger. Pours dark reddish copper. Aroma of coffee, dark bread, some dried fruits, distinct herbal and earthy hop notes. Tastes slightly sweet with little bitterness. Thin to medium bodied.

Cask at the cardinals hat Lincoln. Black colour with a nice roasted malty coffee flavour. Full rich and slight roasted Bitter.

On cask at the Stockbridge Tap. Close to opaque black, thin crema head. Dark chocolate, meaty and roast. Savoury and earthy taste. Roasty and lightly smoky molasses note. All about the roast.
