Bottle off clearance rack. Pop the lid and a beautiful chocolate aroma permeates the atmosphere. Its also got a very nice appeal to the eye, all darker beer and such. Yes, first taste is chocolate, but not as beautiful as the nose. The odd bitter chocolate thing is totally in the front and I'm not sure if I can pick out any of the other stuff that's supposed to be in there. Yea, so much chocolate forward, it really takes some hunting to find the nuts and fruit. In the middle I'm getting a warming sensation down and into the gullet. A little bit of unexpected bitterness starts to show it self on the finish. Not the best choco beer I've had but it aint too bad either. Has a mouth coating character about it. Its listed as a brown ale here but I'm not too sure if this is what it is. I guess it depends on the meaning of what is, is. It's brown, but I'd say its some kind of pastry thang.

Brown with orange highlights and a large foamy tan head that lingered. Sweet and toasty with tobacco, fruit, but, caramel and mild astringency. Very long finish. Medium bodied and smooth.

Pour is a dark brown with a large tan head. Aroma is a super sweet Hershey chocolate syrup. Flavor is pretty much sweet chocolate syrup. Way too sweet to be enjoyable.

12 oz. can from Publix. Pours a crystal clear reddish-copper color with a khaki head and good retention. Almost no lacing. Nuts and brown sugar aroma. The flavor is very sweet caramel and milk chocolate with some background nuts and molasses notes. I don't taste the dried fruit. No bitterness. Medium body. Low carbonation. Slick mouthfeel. Very clean and smooth. The 6.0% ABV is invisible. Good dessert beer, but too sweet for repeated consumption.

Light and pretty clear brown coloured body with a very thinnish, single to perhaps two centimetre tall off-white and tan head. Aroma of pure granola, oatmeal and super rustic, chewy and nutty, earthy notes with some light fruits here as well, but a lot of yeast and malt notes here for sure and seemingly a big rich beer. Medium to perhaps even Full-bodied; Rich granola and oaty malt flavours dominate with a rich, rustic and earthy profile with a ton of nuts as well and a very pungent bite of actual 'trail mix', complete with some nuts, chocolate candy and especially dried fruits, but the rich malt is super strong and driving the flavour. Aftertaste shows some good and rich oat complexity with perhaps a bit too strong of a flavour for me along with a relatively pungent dried fruit note and some additional brown sugars and caramel notes towards the end with big rich yeast as well. Overall, a nice, but way too rich, way too pungent granola, oaty and especially nutty, rustic beer that shows much too strong for me, even though it isn't so hard drinking, and I do like trail mix, this was still too strong. I sampled this twelve ounce can, given to me after a hockey game on 15-February-2023 in Arlington (Ballston), Virginia - Thanks Jacob!
