This is a blend of Angel's Share (aged on Cabernet Franc grapes) and Sangre del Cristo (Phunky Duck with sour cherries). Other rumored additions include a soured version of Avant Garde, raspberry mead, and tangerines. Tomme indicated that this was "sangria," with a blend of red wine barrel beer and orange zest.

Bottle shared by someone at Paul and Ryan’s 5000th celebration, thanks! Poured a cloudy grapefruit orange with a white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was full of tart tropical fruits with a good amount of funk and acid. Flavor began tart with tropical and red fruits and grew in acid becoming slightly acetone. There was a nice bit of funk throughout.

Shared by Matt, thanks. Cork "pops" as if the beer is dead but the pour is less dead. However, after it sits a little the beer becomes still. This beer smells just like my old sour cranberry cider. Its all sour and a piercing berry sourness. Flavor is heartburn going down, even for me this gets my throat churning. Its just a piercing sourness and nothing else, may double as a decent vinegar. There seems to be a lot of variability in these bottles since this was almost dead and others have been gushers, inconsistency from Lost Abbey, I don’t believe it.

750 ml corked and caged bottle shared by mreusch. Pour is a hazed orange ruby with no head and a few bubbles clinging to the side of glass along with active bubbles flowing up the center of the glass. Aroma is sour cherry fruit, fruit skins, oak, and a soft lactic sour / tartness. Nice bright nose. Taste is just crazy sour off the bat, just completely mouth puckering tartness. Much more than I was expecting from the nose. Sour and funky, big sour cherries, with the oak coming out after the tart sour. Palate is medium, light spritzy carbonation, and a lingering sour finish. Thanks Matt, never thought I would get a taste of this one.

Bottle shared with tarheels86. It tried to stain my ceiling, but thanks to the warnings in other people’s ratings, we were prepared. Pours murky pink, massive pale red head. Huge fruit aroma, plus grapefruit and lemon. Taste is sour and funky, great body, and lot of different fruits - raspberries obviously, but lots of citrus as well. Slight bitterness in the finish. Very nice.

Veritas 006, rating number 3700 thanks to blutt59. A geyser of a gusher (yes, I said it). Pours a murky guava red with minimal head laying atop. Aroma is intense, screaming: RASPBERRY, ACIDIC, FUNK!! Some white pepper and vanilla as well. The taste is really quite punishingly sour, berries (raspberries mainly). Magnificently, heartburn sour. What the hell is the pH on this stuff? Bone dry finish, my words do not accurately describe how good and complex this stuff is!

75 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is peachy and raspberry fruity. Smooth raspberry fruity flavoured, mild citric. Citric and distinct acidic raspberry fruity flavoured into the finish. Mouth drying.

courtesy of jdubfl. the mother of all sours, huge vinegary punch, puts your teeth back in line. Amber in color, thin white head. All the sweet and sour one needs. Acidic mouthfeel that probably caused my next day heartburn. I like a good sour, this was not it. Would like to sample again with right conditions..
