From a 375ml bottle on 10/5/2018. Pours not far off black with a small tan head. The aroma features chocolate and soy. Some milk chocolate and a hint of caramel kick things off, but it's not the sweetest impy. There's a fair bit of bitterness - roasty and dry, with some coffee and licorice. Fullish body with moderate carbonation. Bold and flavoursome, but just a touch rough and lacking in balance.

Tasting @ Koelschtrinker. Smooth chocolate nose. The beer starts fresh with smooth chocolate. Deep, dry malty, not sticky with a dry chocolaty deep body. Malt, dry grain, caramel. Easy tod rink, very deep, round and smooth with not much bitterness.

Sampled from 0.375 l bottle from 'De Bierkoning', best before November 2018. Pitch black with a beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite roasty and a little fruity aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice and some dark fruits. Quite sweet, malty, rather roasty and a little fruity taste of dark chocolate, licorice, some coffee and a touch of dark fruits, followed by a medium long, rather roasty-bitter, earthy-dry finish. Medium to full body, almost creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Bottle from Deconinck. Pitch black, dark foam. Very roasty with lots of coffee but enough sweetness to counter the roastiness. Nice sipping beer.
