A hearty Russian Imperial Stout, deep black in color with a strongly roasted malt aroma, hints of chocolate, coffee and vanilla are prominent in this beers flavor. Motor Oil is one of our 4 beers from our core range and can be labeled our flagship stout.

Can sourced from Etre Gourmet and drunk at home - black with a tan head. Big dark roasted malty, loads of opulent chocolate, earthy ashy burnt roast, molasses, coffee roast, slight nutty, thick and “oily” mouthfeel and palate, full bodied, bitter roasted malty finish. Really good.

Tasting at Matt's slaughterhouse, can
Black colour, small brown head. Arom aof roasted nuts. Thick mouthfeel, moderately sweet, big tar flavour, roasted malts, the alcohol is well hidden; ends with heavily roasted nuts, almost ashes.
Very good.

440mL can, (canned Sept 2020) pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of molasses, roasted malt, some tar, and alcohol. Flavour is rich, with intense roasted malt, thick molasses, alcohol, and pronounced bitterness. For as intense as this is, it's not actually harsh. Monolithic roast, with a fair bit of hops to back that have died a bit since canning. Very roasty and deep. Maybe not the most elegant, but the malts are really nice.

Dark brown. Just a thin of head. This that burnt fruitcake aroma, quite classic, sticky. Quite rich. Has all kinds of burnt sugars. Fruitcake, earthy, chocolate. So sticky and intense, it's almost smoky. Burly.

440ml @ Matt's parents' place with a scenic view that was hidden by curtains this time. Appearance: brown with beige head. Aroma: malty, sweet, dark fruits, a bit inky. Taste: along the same lines, a bit leathery, quite ashy, roasted aftertaste. Overall: not bad, a bit too toasted for me.
