We had Pork Rendang and Indonesian Spring Rolls with a Nasi Goreng Rice, this weekend it is our Netherlands theme weekend. Listening to @timstwitterlisteningparty.com tonight it is Echo and the Bunnymen - Heaven up Here. Pours dark chocolate brown colour with an off white head. Chocolate and bitter cocoa on the nose. Chocolate in the mouth, there is a little chilli hit that slowly builds and remains throughout, smooth in the mouth. Very nice.

0.33 l can at Cajt, Zagreb. Shared with little Borna and Saša Mops. Black. Aroma is exactly what you expect: chilli chocolate, sweet cocoa drink, smooth roasty. Balanced, not too sweet. Roasty, chocolate and of course, obligatory paprika. Light body, soft texture, light finish.

Can. Pitch black, small beige head, nonlasting. Chocolate cocoa nose, nice. Slightly roasted and gentle spices. Medium sweetness, cocoa, medium bitterness, slightly soury blackcurrant feel. Medium full body, silky. Medium aftertaste. Slight chili burn and more of it later on.

Canned, 330 ml courtesy of Miro B. Shared with him and Max. Black with brownish head. Light chocolate, lactic, chili, quite watery, even a bit bland. Sweetish. Never a good idea to make 8% chili stout without enough body to support the flavor.

Can from Beermalade. Fully centered on the dark malty flavours. But not only malt! There is rather low deep roast, but loads of chocolate and cocoa going on, along with associated sweetness. Light chilli pops out after a few moments to level out the playing field. ABV warmth hidden beneath the chilli. Full body and moderate carbonation. Packs a punch of intense flavours, yet remains easy drinking considering the real strength. Very good one.
