The intensely smooth and rich roasted flavor is complemented by the unmistakable pretence of hops.

The bitterness is held in check, preserving the flavors of dark chocolate.

This ale is aggressively dry hopped with Citra to cut through it all. Hail Santa.

Thanks! Sampled canned @ Billie’s Beer Festival 2018. Day 1. Black, mocha head. Nose is massively roasted, hoppy, bitter coffee. Taste is bit boozy with heavy pine, roasted coffee, mocha, bit harshly bitter, thick bodied, lovely harsh bitter finish, very solid.

Clear dark brown to black beer, creamy beige head, little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very roasted, malty, rural impression, grains, more malts. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very bitter, super roasted, lots of coffee, malty, metallic touch.

This new RateBeer version is the shits - its difficult to enter and loses entries. Time to move on. Anyways on this one - a very good black IPA - if I can enter and the crappy system accepts before I forget.

Roast, a little dry. Black pour with good mocha head and lacing. Some coffee, nut. Pretty bitter finish. Nice stuff, though I preferred the Luscious I just had before. Can at Snally.
