33 cl. bottle. Clear, amber colour with a golden tint. Dense, lightly tanned head, that fades to a thin cap. Fruity aroma with caramel malts, smoke, bread and honey. Taste is sweet. Medium body, creamy texture and an average carbonation. Carbonation is not as flat as usual from Refsvindinge Brewery. Finishes sweet with smoke and caramel malts. If you like smoked beers on the sweeter side, this is worth a try. Very modest price tag, 5 - 6 DKK. Makes this brew quite a steal.

clear amber, smooth good sized offwhite head. nice nutty slightly flowery aroma, also some caramel. lightly smoked. flavor is sweet honey, sweet malty, caramel, good portion of smoke and a little roast. If You like caramel, malts and smoke and don’t care if it’s a bit sweet this is pretty nice. The end is smoke and hoppy bitter. Lots of taste, i did not expect such a flavorfull beer. original.

33cl bottle @ Refsvindinge. Pours clear copper with a small white bubbly head and lacings. Nose is smoked. Campfire, bacon, sausage, tar. Thin palate. Im sorry but I really hate this!

Bottle from Fotex, Copenhagen. So Jacob Lovilund’s favourite beer? Amber, thin off white head. Smoke hits you right off. Yes, some toffee in the body in the middle. It’s alright, like a smokey bitter. Fine.

(Bottle, Ölbaren, Copenhagen, 25 July) Dark amber colour with no head. Smokey, malty nose with hints of dried apricots. Malty, smokey taste with notes of apricots and dark fruit, beechwood smoke and tar. Refreshing and easy to drink, rather thin body. Very interesting beer, most smoked beer tend to be kind of heavy to drink, but definitely not this one. Nice one.

(bottle, courtesy of Papsoe) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a short off-white layer. Light-sweet, toast-malty aroma with a delicate smokey and subtle fruity touch. Moderately bitter flavour, light bodied with a soft carbonation. Distinctive smoke malty taste with very light fruity (red berries) accents; slightly bitter and smoke-malty finish with light sourish and tart elements. Still likeable for those who appreciate the style (21.03.08).

[Bottle @ Ølbaren, thanks for sharing Jacob] Clear golden with no head. Smoky aroma with light caramel and malty notes. Sweet flavor that is smoked with light caramel notes. Finishes dry.

500ml bottle bought at Høgeren, Copenhagen. (Almost) clear dark brown body under a filmy layer. Tranguil smoked aroma leading the way to a bacon-like flavour supported by an earty touch and a lightly hint of malty sweetness. Rather one-dimensional and watery (03.08.2007).

Clear golden color, short head. Aroma of horseblanket, barnyard, nice soft smoke. Soft smokey lager taste. Quite nice.
