Beautiful amber color, with compact creamy head. The aroma is malty, quite nice, with some cereal. Nice mouthfeel, grainy malt flavor, moderate sweetness, relatively low bitterness.
Not bad.

30cl on tap at Brewbaker, Berlin. Clear dark golden with an off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malt and honey with notes of hops and fruits. Very sweet and caramelly, but still balanced. Finishes somewhat dry and lightly bitter. Fresh and quite easy to drink despite the sweetness. Certainly a decent brew. (2013-04-04)

Leicht würziger und deutlich alkoholischer Antrunk. Im Mittelteil etwas herb, mild muffig, im Abgang hopfiger. Zudem klebrig und süß-alkoholisch auf mildem Niveau. Zum Ende nochmal würzig. Test vom 11.10.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,7,6,7,12,6 - 6,80

The bottle loosk good, the beer in the glass is not very zippy, not much foam. Almost neutral aroma. Tastes malty-dry in the middle, but only for a short moment. The finish is boring and not intense. Disappointing bock!

Bottle, 5.8% as Alt Jenaer Bock Hell. Malty and papery aroma. Almost clear dark golden colour. Small white head. The flavour is quite malty with some caramellized sugar, and also a little white sugar notes. There is some alcohol flavour, but not quite enough to match the sweetness.
