50 cL bottle. Pours deep amber with an orange glare, slowly collapsing orange to tan head. Mild spiced, roasted malt and caramel aroma. Flavour is light fruity with a mild liqourice note and slowly building bitterness. Very minor smoke note it seems. Solid bitterness into the finish, mixed with notes of caramel and light roasted notes.

330ml bottle from Systembolaget, Linköping. Clear golden-brown body covered by a thin, beige head. Aroma of sweet dry cheese and dusty malts. Quite unusual taste containing lightly smoked caramel malts, chestnuts and a note of mould cheese. The sweetness is on a moderate level. Dry ending (26.01.2008).

Medium light brown coarseish head does not last. Brown body with carbonation. Sweetish bready caramelly aroma. Sweet and dry grainy caramelly malty taste with straw notes. Dry medicinal grain and caramel aftertaste. Quite firm. Nice, unspectacular. (0.33l bottle, thanks to gr0ve.)

Pours dark amber/brown with a creamy head. Aroma is of dusty, ashy roasted malts. Some bitter roast & sweet caramel. Medium bodied. Medium to low carbonation. Since this is in the "vienna" category its OK. But that dusty & ashy edge more of the beers from the brewery have ... not addictive...

Clear dark amber beer with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is indeed a little strange, something roasted, toasted, fruity... perhaps dry roasted lemon peel would be like this? The flavour comes together much better. Roasted and dry, slightly astringent malt.
