Brewed with Pilsner and Cystal malts massively hopped in in the continuous fashion. The flavor is complimented by the addition of Apricots. After fermentation the beer is dry hopped with irresponsible amounts of Amarillo hops.

Draft. Weird, tasted more like a sour ale to me. Not one of my favorites. .

well i must say, this is disapointing. it looks good, but doesnt taste great. aroma is pretty bland. i’m getting a TINY bit of apricot. and some malt, surprisingly i detect no hops. quite odd......flavour is sweet, and yes, there is apricot, but again, i’m getting no hoppiness from a so call STRONG IPA, disapointing brew.

Rated March 2006. Poured out golden copper color with medium off white head. Aroma is rather malty with some spicy (noble) hops. Tastes like the 90 minute with a hint of the apricot in the background which increases the sweetness a little. This beer tastes good. The malts, apricot and hop flavor hit all at once and then even out and take turns as the dominant flavor as the finish approaches. The end of the swilling experience is a smooth finish with a bit of bitterness.

Notes from May 2009 Half growler from New Beer. Poured into a squared off pint glass. Filtered copper body, gooey inch of off-white froth. Smell is a mute IPA. A squirt of tangerine & peach at the end. Very ho-hum. Taste again, is a very paltry pale. Very little malt, faded earthy hops, with more flavor & bitterness coming from the rindy, soured fruit itself. A weak, almost stale base beer. Lemongrass, peaches, half-ripe apricots(skins, pits & all), the fruit is what's interesting here. Bittersweet, it saves this beer from being absolute junk. The noticeable alcohol doesn't seem to mingle with the rest of the beer. A little feel of graininess on the finish keeps gives the actual base beer at least one positive aspect. Feel is average to strong in carbonation, with a good froth always getting on your lips. It feels a little stiffer on tap, but don't ask me to put down $6 for another glass. Beer is very light-bodied for 7%. The base beer needs some real work. : -

Tap at Horse Brass. Very refreshing, citrusy aroma, bit of apricot there too. Taste is good, quite different, not so bitter. Good.

Bottle from Lithy, thanks! Orange brown color. Grapefruit, red berries, flowery and oily hops and especially apricot in the aroma. Hopbitter, slightly medecinal yeasty flavor with apricot. Surprisingly dry, oily a touch of malty and fruity sweetness. Plesant brew.

From Dec 2007

I got this bottle also as an extra in a trade with JDV. Thanks again, Deniz!

This pours from 12oz bottle a cloudy rusty brown with a small but stubborn head of foam.

The smell is of apricots, caramel malt, and a touch of hops in the background. Smells nice.

The taste is well, tasty. Apricots are the first thing I noticed followed by some caramel malt and a nice big heaping helping of hops. Wow. I didn't think the different flavours would work all that well together but hey, they do!

The mouthfeel is medium, the carbonation is fairly low, and it finishes with a good mix of bitter hops and apricot tartness. Very nice indeed!

Thanks again, Deniz, for throwing this one in. DFH has again defied the odds. ;^)

Medium amber color. Apricots, apples and caramel. Modestly bitter palate, but a bit more restrained in the finish.
