Crafted with an unholy amount of citra hops, this Undead Double Pale Ale heralds the zombie evolution after the dust has settled from the apocalypse.

Pairing this with the Derby della Madonnina. Malty aroma, and taste. A bit piny, smooth. Solid.

OK, another can o' floyds, they been hard to come by round here except the last couple years. Nose is volatile upfront pine hops, a little alarming. Look is that of a orangish pale hazy ipa. When I bot the farm on this, for 3$, I was thinking, an ice beer? WTF? Well, when I opened the can and smelled green pine cones permeating the area, I said, no. This is a big fat IPA, no lie. First big slug is a warming sensation all round and down the gullet. Whew. I wish I could get over the mouth coating oily hops, but I can't. Such a one sided mess. Yea, the warm labile winds are blowing all around this stuff, its an uncanny example of what a double imperial IPA can be, whew. After a while, the foam dissolves into a light yellow pond scum surface and then the next big mouthful is just a bitter feast of giant dregs. If you are running out of beer in your refrigerator, you might say, “We're down to the dregs in here” and you are. What else can be said; this is a high alky brew that does not leave you wanting if you are seeking a buzz. There, you have it. Me? I could care less for highly hopped brews but this is terribly on style.

I bought a 12 oz can of Zombie Ice at the local craft beer shop recently, stamp on the can says pkgd on 1/8/24, good by me. My tulip glass from belated brewery Buffalo Bayou gets to receive tonight. The view is an indistinct orange-gold body topped by a head of off-white foam. I smell hops, yellow fruit and grain. I call the taste a hybrid of styles with most of it going West Coast. Apricots, white bread, citrus, malt, a bit of pineapple and malt. There's a fair amount of bitterness, good by me again. A substantial drink in sensation and moderate in abv, a good brew.

19.2 oz can. Pours a clear, orange color, with an average, bubbly, off-white head. The nose is orange oils, lemongrass, piney phenols, and butterscotch. Sweet and doughy, with a harsh bitterness. Medium body, sticky, and fairly crisp. Solid, aggressive, hoppy thing.

Part of a 12 can It's Not Normal variety pack purchased in Vermont on a trip (Easter 2023 - I think). Lightly hazed, deep golden colour and an amber hue, a big frothy-creamy-bubbly warm head, good retention and some nice sticky lacing. Very grassy aromas with raisins notes, oranges, honey. Flavours are pretty much the same with a mild, drying, hoppy finish. Grassiness-oranges linger. Again, not the Citra I am use to in Canada - feels more West Coast style, but nice to see a Double APA.

Can. Poured a clear, golden yellow color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was big tropical fruit citrus. Pineapple, orange, grapefruit bitterness. Malty, grainy notes. Okay, but Zombie Dust is still the winner.

Can from Top Hops NYC, CD 05/12/23 (so not too fresh). Pours a hazy orange colour and a firm off white head with good retention. Aroma's of resin, floral hops, malts. Retronasal there's malty sweetness, sweet fruit, lots of resin and some bitterness. Flavour is bitter and moderate sweet. Medium bodied. Smooth mouthfeel. Long lasting bitter finish. Great oldschool double IPA, despite the age.
