Dark fruit, hops, bready malts, its like sweet fruit cake soaked in booze. Lots of burnt brown sugar, and a little bit hot from the booze. A nice sipper.

Flaska från Danmark, 2008. Något mörkare kastanjefärgad, ingen direkt krona. Kolaremmar, russin, blöt kartong, oxideringstoner, bränt socker, en gnutta syra. Passerat bäst före, men inte helt off. Mer kul än gott.

Bottle 0.6l, vintage 2008! Trade with Camons, huge thanks! Hazy, copper colored. AROMA- brandy, raisins, dark fruit, dates, sour cherry liquer. FLAVOR- slightly sweet, pleasantly warming, sour cherry liquer, dates, cherries, strawberries, dark grapes... Full bodied. Great.

2004 version, tap @ EBF 2008. Surprisingly low on aroma. Just some orange maybe. Raw alcoholic flavor with mandarine curacao liquor. Sugary sweet. A bit too raw for me.

2008 keg sampled in 2018. Thick, cherry-brown-red body. Not much head. Big, fruity aroma. An awesome English-style Barleywine, has aged perfectly. A real treat, am excellent example of the style. World Class.

Refrigerated brown bomber poured into a glass. Translucent medium brown with small off-white head. Aroma is caramel, medium body, low carbonation, and very little lacing. Taste is caramel.

Poured from a 2008 vintage bottle. Aroma is full of raisin, prune and other dried fruit. Moderately strong toffee and caramel notes with some light burnt sugar character. Hints of a woodsy hop character. Pours a slightly hazy brown with some red hues and a small, thick, tan head that recedes to the edges and lingers. No lacing and small legs. A slight gusher (more of a foamer) on opening. Flavor is moderately sweet with lots of caramel and some lighter toffee notes. Some raisin and prune notes. Light notes of dried cherries. Some light alcohol character. Hints of chocolate. Medium bitterness with some light woody hop notes. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright barleywine and pretty nice for the age. A but flabby with some oxidation showing, but on the whole it’s nice. I’m not sure I enjoy the lingering hop character though and feel like it would be better off if it faded away completely.

2008 vintage. Pours hazy brown, with a nice creamy head. Aroma is a nice roasted malt, with a good sweet touch of caramel. Flavour is quite dark, with plums and figs, some vanilla notes ending with that lasts forever. Wow.
