A bourbon barrel aged imperial stout with local Emy J's coffee, whole vanilla beans, and cinnamon. The flavor profile of this wonderful beer boasts a lush mouthfeel, with just the right amount of creamy spice character to meld with the rich malt and barrel-aged profile.

From the sterk, Amsterdam, during one of my trip, bottled in 2018, opening and enjoying a lot this nectar of imperial stout, flavour of vanilla, toffee, chocolate, little note of coffee, roasty malt, a bit woody, a lot of things coming in your mouth, 08.10.24

Brew Export Advent Calendar day something a while bak, can. Darkest brown. Thick frothy foamy beige head. Aroma had dsrk chocolate, espresso and cream liqueur. Boozy. Flavourwise it combines a boozy barrel influence and sour berries with dark chocolate and mocha. Nuts for a praline effect. Creamy. Booze (once more). Medium bodied. Creamy mouthfeel. Soft carbonation with a restrained fizz. Long dry astringent finish. Decent stuff. The only thing that let's it down is the lack of body supporting the rest of the brew.

Sweet and roasted dark malty with opulent chocolate, some caramel and toffee, some lovely bourbon notes laced throughout, full body, vanilla and bourbon coalesce into the lingering sweet dark malty finish. Gorgeous.

Aromas are dark malt, molasses, slightly old coffee. Flavors are similar to nose, molasses comes on stronger, add in a bit of cinnamon. Bittersweet with round body and just ride carbonation. Decent but not great.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is roasted malt with bourbon, cinnamon, coconut, vanilla beans, coffee here and there, dried dark fruits, some chocolate, booze, and a touch of oak. Flavour is sweet with a roasty bitterness. Body is medium to full. Pretty delicious with lots of bourbon, vanilla, roasted malt and cinnamon. Body could be a little more full, but it's hardly an issue. Very good.
