Bottle from Drankenspeciaalzaak Jelle, Leeuwarden. Aroma is malty and yeasty with caramel, ripe and candied fruits, bit sugary, ripe apples, soapy notes, and notes of apricot. Flavour is sweet and sugary. Body is medium. Too sugary and candied, soapy, unrefined. Not a good Tripel.

0.15 l on tap at the brewery. Minimally hazy, amber with a white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity-floral aroma of lots of honey, orange peel and light vanilla. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity-floral taste of honey, vanilla, apricot and light citrus, followed by a short, quite bitter, minimally yeasty finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Malty but solid Tripel.

23 June 2021. At Slot Oostende, Goes. Shared with the lovely Anke! Hazy golden, small, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of triple sec (Grand Marnier), candied apricot, canned peach, nail polish remover (aceton), dried orange peel. Taste has sweet peach, apricot & banana, bit sugary, yeasty with clove-like phenols over a doughy malty base. Floral hoppy finish, sweet dried fruit, bit cloying, boozy triple sec-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Sweet Tripel but still drinkable.

33cl bottle from Beerwulf webshop. F: big, egg-white, long lasting. C: murky amber, hazy. A: sweet malty, sweet fruity esters, mellow fruity, bit yeasty. T: sweet malty backbone, mellow fruity, caramel, bit toffee even, decent bitterness, medium to full body and higher carbonation, for me almost ok if bit more on the sweet side, partially enjoyed.

33cl Bottle. Hazy golden orange colour, white head. Aroma of white fruits, some sugar, alcohol. Flavour follows, light spicy, cooked apple, tiny hint of veggies. Medium bodied. Not bad, just plain and a bit dull.

Donkergeel bier zonder schuim.

Clear deep golden colour, good frothy off-white head, dissipates slowly, patchy lacing. Aroma malts, yeast, peach, soap. Flavour medium sweet and light bitter, malty, fruity, alcohol and peppery notes. Mild sweetbitter finish, orange peel. A bit atypical but pleasant tripel.
