600 ml brown bottle, a gift from Tom, thanks! Redddish brown colour, relatively pale, slightly hazy. Large and creamy lingering head. Pleasant aroma with notes of red fruits, malts and oak, hints of leather and caramel. Flavour is reasonably malty with some sourish fruity notes, mouthfeel is maybe a tad too thin, moderate hops in the finish / aftertaste.

Small coarse offwhite head quickly disappears. Body is beautiful dark red. Sweetish, aroma of licorice and malts with indistinct hoppy notes. Something stale and muddy in the aroma prevents it from getting top scores. Taste is sweetish, watery licorice with the same stale, muddy off taste. Dryish aftertaste. Best before date is 07.07.06, which was around the time when we bought it at Ølbutikken in Copenhagen. Giving it slightly better marks than it deserves to make up for this. Need to rerate this one. (0.6l bottle.)

Bottle. Medium head with very short duration. Second pours of the bottle didnt even make any head worth mentioning. Color is amber. Aroma is hops and flowers. Taste is hoppy with a good long finish that is not too bitter but still lots of hops.

Red amber with little quick disappearing bubbly head. Very sweet berry aroma. Nearly watery texture. Taste is a bit sweet. Finish has slight bitterness and is quick disappearing. little dry as well. Mediocre! Lacks punches!

Bottled. Deep golden and sparkling, with an off-white head. Aroma has malt, beef-stock hints, caramel, a light fruityness and hints of wet cardboard in the background. Flavor has maramel, malt, hops and a light fruityness. Medium to thin body and a malty-sweet finish with a decent bitterness. Maybe this would be better with a steak than on its own. (060708)

[Bottle] Redish brown colur, medium to small head. Malty aroma with notes of hazelnuts. Clean, malty flavour with a slight roastines. Bitter finish. A good example of the style, not my one of my favourite styles though.
