Quad

Hazy color, red and dark amber; poor head.The aroma is not very strong, sweetish caramel, light alcohol, flower syrup. The flavor is more interesting, very sweet malt, with caramel, light fruitness (mango), correct bitterness, pleasant alcohol kick, with a flowery trace. The final is sweet, bitter and nutty. Technically, not the best beer, but it has a fair degree of complexity and it goes in my direction (sweet and fruity), and I enjoy it.

50cl bottle @ VinensVerden, Odense. Pours a cloudy to muddy amber with nearly no head - only small bubbles appears on top. Nose is sweet of dark fruits, prune, raisin, brown sugar, berries and caramel. Medium and smooth palate. Low carbonation - flat. Taste is yeast, sugar, caramel and dark fruits. Some hops in the end. A good and pleasant warmth. Alcohol is well hidden. Overall a tasty quad!

Bottle. Small head with short duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are fruits, candy sugar, yeast and alcohol. A bit too much alcohol offsets the balance.

Bottle. Creamy white fair mostly lasting head. Light amber colour. Moderate malty and heacy hoppy aroma. Licorice notes in flavor and aroma. Moderate sweet and bitter flavor. Strong licorice notes and just a hint of raspberry?. Long nice fruity modetrae bitter finish. Very complex. Creamy palate. Really great beer.

On tap at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. A semi-clear golden beer with a small, beige head. Dried fruits, candisugar and hints of spices and yeast in the aroma. The flavor is sweet, with dried fruits, candisugar, alcohol and some spice notes in the far back. Full-bodied, sweet and warming. A delicious beer well suited for an hour by the fire. Bottle. A hazy, orange-brown beer with minimal-sized off-white head of quite big bubbles. Grains, sweetness, a little sour hint, alcohol and some berries in the aroma. The flavor is sweet, with some fruityness and a little alcohol. Full-bodied, sweetish and warming in the mouth. Can’t really decide on this. Part of me thinks it’s lovely, part of me doesn’t. Really liked it at EBF last year, this time it’s just a nice one. Wouldn’t shy away from another one though. 090720

Dark amber colour with small off-white head.Aroma is mild fruity of plum and berries,sweet caramel and warming strong alc.Well balanced and nice smooth finish.

On tap @ EBF 2008. Hazy amber with a thin off-white head. Aroma is malt, sweet fruit, yeast and some caramel. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, fruit, yeast a bit spicy and a warming feeling that not necessary must be alcohol. Complex, well balanced and very nice indeed.

Draught at EBF 2008, Copenhagen, Denmark. Unclear medium orange amber color with a small to average, fizzy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate to heavy yeasty, fruity, berry - blueberries / blackcurrant sweet. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 120908

(On tap) Pours a slightly hazy amber with a rough off-white head. Sweetish fruity nose. Quite full-bodied, solid and fruity with a warming alcoholic finish. Quite lovely but perhaps a little too fresh. I would love some more age and overripe notes in here. 120908

Cloudy amber with a big and lasting off-white head. Big aroma of bready munich malt, with a spicy pepper note, p+lums, winegum, and a touch of butter. Dry malty flavour with spicy and yeasty notes. Could use a little more complexity.
