CBf07 sample from tap. Pours golden orange with a little lacing head, looks really good. Aroma is mouldy, buttery. Flavour is dry malty and not bitter at all. Vague finish. Flavour and aroma is a let down compared to the expectations raised by the visual appearance, sadly.

On tap at Cph Beerfestival. Clear, golden beer with an off-white head. Hoppy and fruity aroma with citrus and pinecones. Malt, hops, fruits and pines in the flavor. Ok body and a hoppy finish. Seems that Holbæk preferes to serve their beers ice-cold, as all four were too cold, at least on friday night. (060519)

[Draught at Købehavnske Øldage] Clear golden. The aroma has more diacetyl than I’ve ever sensed before, It’s sweet with rounded mouthfeel. The butterscotchy diacetyl is so powerful that no other flavour has a chance to come through. I usually like diacetyl, but this is ridiculous.

An unclear dark orange beer with a small off-white head. The aroma is sweet and very fruity combined with notes of brew mash, the hops can only very vaguely be noticed, if You specifically try to find them. The flavor is very sweet with an acidic note to it - I beleive it is due to some miscue in the brewing - as well as notes of metal. On the positive side it has strong notes of fruit. I really can’t tell that this is an IPA, since the hops are so vague, so I’d say except for the name, this should be listed as a Premium Bitter.
