Cask No head, jet-black. Coffee. God knows, but this smells of ground coffee. And I don’t drink that... unless it comes out of a Mikkeller cask, I suppose. Sweet coffee, no milk, quite some sugar, lots of coffee, and some C-type hops? Very slick (God, intestine...), very thick MF, chewy (ouch...) Typical BeerGeek Mikkeller. Aw.

Pitch black color, not much head. Coffee, roasted malts, licorice in the nose. Thick palate, liquerish, flavor has black licorice, coffee and tar. All in extreme balance. Nice coffeish aftertaste.

Spicy and earthy aroma - cinnamon, coffee and chocolate. Quite black in colour, foamy brown head. Coffee flavorbase, herbs - nice balance to the coffee bitterness. Mellow mouthfeel. Coffee-roast aftertaste.

Cask Conditioned at Københavnske Øldage 2007
Black oily color, no head. Nice aroma of roasted malt, red wine, coffee, a hint of tobacco. Thick and oily, no carbonation, strong flavor of caramel, roasted malt, coffee, some liquorice, a bit metalic herbal and milky. Very strong ending bitterness, from the coffee and roasted malt. Weird, but an interesting experience. Good.

Black with no head. Huge aroma of coffee, hops, and black malts. Bitter and roasted with a charcoal-like dryness. Long lasting aftertaste. 2008: seemed thinner and weaker in aroma.
