Backlog May 2009. Dark brown, almost black body under a small, beige head. Aroma of dark, roasted malt, liquorice and chocolate. Taste is sweet, dark, roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, broth, a touch of juniper and nice bitterness. Fine body with long lasting aftertaste. Nice.

[Thanks to fiulijn]. Dark brown color, almost black, with a light tan head with good duration. Aroma has notes of light toffee, toasted malts, burnt sugar and some roasty notes. Flavor is slightly sweet, notes of molasses, good maltiness, toffee and chocolate notes. Subtle sweet notes in the final with some mild bittery traces, maintaining toasted notes. Creamy on palate with sweet mouthfeel.

Bottle from either fiulijn or Papsoe, whoever it was HUGE thanks! Poured a black body with a small off white head. Coffee, peach, sweet rubber gum, sweet but relatively fresh. The taste kicks out really bitter, crudely so in the beginning, showing some vaguely aromatic herbal hints and grinding into dust a nice sof roasty maltiness. Slightly yoghurty. Overall a pretty good stout but too hopped.

Very deep amber colour, close to black, huge beigeish brown foamy head that leaves nice lace. Aroma is roasted malts, some caramel, old cold coffee as well as mild notes of chocolate. Flavour is liquorice, roasted malts, fudge, mild cinnammon as well as caramel malts. Tasted like it has some slight oxidation, but that one fits this one like a fist in the eye. If you have ’em, drink ’em!

Bottle from Barley Wine. Pours black with a rellatively big brown head. The next surprise is the aroma, it smells solely of citrusy hops! Tastes of hops, chocolate, soy and rosted malts. Pity that thist brewery is out of business!

Bottle. Look: Black. Beige head. Smell: Lots of hops. Milk chocolate. The aroma indicates that this could be an IPA aswell as a stout. One of the hoppiest smelling stout i’ve ever tried. Taste: Hoppy at first, then milk chocolate, roasted tones and small smokeiness in the aftertaste.
