A historically accurate beer based on the recipe devised on the 8th of February 2007.
Recreated using the finest coloured malts which provide the complex sweet malt character which initially arouses the senses. Like a fine cheese cake the biscuit base has a smooth and creamy layer that both satisfies and entices. Culminating with a delicate fruit topping of blackcurrant and tinges of citrus to refresh the participant, complimented fully by the crisp dry bitter finish.

3rd LCRBM. Red berries in the sedate aroma. Earthy hops in the flavor. Thin. Red berries aftertaste. Decently balanced. Not great but I’m not complaining.

Creamy light brown head stayed well on a dark brown, still body - Looks great. Fruity, malt, honey & treacle toffee aroma. Medium to thin bodied. Soft on the palate - sharp on the back. To the fore there’s malt, caramel & roast hints. This is followed by a bitter/sweet citrus back & then a long tangy finish.

Keg at BD Soho, 11/04/17. Rich mahogany to chestnut brown with a decent beige head. Nose is toffee, biscuit, light spice, fruit rinds. Taste comprises biscuit crumble, toffee, hint of orange marmalade, earthy, light spice. Medium bodied, prickly carbonation, drying close with a moderately bitter edge. Average fayre ... way over carbonated which knocked this one down a few marks for me.
