Aged for six months in bourbon barrels, this luxurious stout has a deep ebony hue and a beautiful mahogany head. The woody, vanilla-like notes imparted by the barrels mingle with aromas of fresh baked bread, toffee, and espresso and envelop the rich chocolate and roasted barley flavors with a fine bourbon character. With an exceptional balance and drinkability this beer is the closest thing to an every-day bourbon barrel aged stout the world has ever seen.

Aromas are dark malt, molasses and roast. Flavors are similar to nose, slightly more sweet than bitter and increases all qualities. Slight hints of bourbon and oak. Add in a touch of coffee. This brewery just isn't as good as it used to be.

0.355l can. Dark brown body with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate, reisins, plums and a bit of oak. The taste shows some notes of the bourbon too not just the oak. Chocolate and raisins are present too with a hint of orange zest and some plums. I think the barrel aging works in this beer as it only gives a nice twist to it, but doesn't overpower it. Good one.

Großartige Fassnase, herrlich Bourbon im Zinken. Optisch zum verlieben, Cappuccino-Schaum. Im Trunk cremig, Schokolade, Latte Macchiato, Pralinen, unheimlich gut trinkbar, sehr lecker.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is roasted malt with bourbon, vanilla, caramel, some chocolate and modest nutty notes. Flavour is moderate sweet with a light bitterness. Medium body, feels a bit weird in combination because even knowing beforehand it's a 'regular' Stout you want that thickness you associate with Bourbon barrel aging.

12 oz. Aroma has notes of cooked veggies, whiskey, garbage, caramel, wood, funk, berries. The nasty off-notes pretty much disappear after a couple minutes, leaving a decent smelling beer. Pours very dark brown with a one finger beige head with decent retention. Taste is moderately sweet with barrel aged flavors. Kind of weird at first, but it grew on me.
