Aroma is bready, black rye bread. Roasted nuts and a bit of caramel in the background.
First taste is roasty and bready. If the crust of black bread were a beer, this would be the beer. Aftertaste has nutty flavors and dark dried fruits - raisins, plums.
Rye SK is a pleasantly bready, warming beer that could quite easily be used instead of a slice of bread with any food.

Bottle at the RBESG 23 grand tasting. Black-brown body, off-white head. Candied orange and brown sugar in the aroma, more of the same in the taste, sugary citric notes, only ending a bit bitter. Liked it a bit, but wasn't sure what to think overall.

Bottle at RBESG GT 2023. Med body, med carbo. Lots of chocolatey coffeeish maltiness. Little else. Medium warmth (too much), med-light sweetness, light bitterness. Good but not great.

Shared at RBESG 2023, Zagreb. Deep brown with beige head. Aroma of malt, alcohol, honey, light roasty notes. Taste is very alcoholic, sweet and malty.

A small taste on tap @ TCBW 2023. Pours dark brown with a medium head. Aroma is sweet toasted malts. Flavor is sweet toasted malts with nuts, caramel, alcohol, hops. Soft and nice.
