Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Dave for procuring. Pours oily black with a small, creamy brown head. Medium to big sweet flavour with notes of dark chocolate, marshmallows, toasted toffee, vanilla, raisins, a little molasses, subtle earthy bitterness. Full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, a little sticky but not cloying, more dark berries, cocoa, a little torched wood, toasted marshmallows, creamy vanilla. Delicious beer. Cycle really knows how to do the big stouts.

Can. Thanks to the team but especially Wingman. Smooth palate, pretty light all told, good fine carbonation. Delightful dark malts, quite light in body but rich in chocolate, kinda 65% dark and 35% milk. Trace of Malteasers. Fruity rich bourbon dominates the mid and back end with a touch of oaky vanilla. Finally a little boozy spice on the semi dry finish. Holy moley - so nicely layered and so bloody drinkable.
