This was another beer I found in Hall 12 (German breweries and food to eat with beer) during the 2014 Berlin Green Week: the brewery had a small bar within the hall, just like about 30 others. 0.3 litres on-tap, pale golden body with a white crown, clear, clean and bright: everything a typical German Pilsner should be. The aroma is weak, again very typical of the style: this one leans towards a grainy, semi-sweet smell. The taste follows along those lines with a dry hop undertone arriving strongly towards the end of each sip. OK, but so, so similar to all the other Pilsners I sampled on the day (and before, etc, etc): good solid beer without any special attributes to set it apart from it’s fellow Pilsners.

(33cl bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Clear, pale golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Moderately sweet, slightly strawy and grainy malty nose with herbal and slightly spicy hops. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate, slightly crispy carbonation. Mild malty base with an not overly present hops-character; dry-ish, slightly bitter and hoppy finish (19.04.08).

(Bottle 33 cl) Dark golden with a decent head. Pronounced malty sweetness well balanced by an equal bitterness. Comes in an unusual, tall 33 cl swing-top bottle.
