Keg at Brewdog Shepherds Bush, London. A black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate, dark fruit taste/aroma. This stout was slightly tart. It's fine but I expected a really good stout and it certainly fell short.

(Draught at BrewDog Camden, London, 18 May 2023) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, milky coffee, ripe banana and vanilla. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, milky coffee, vanilla, oak wood and a mild cacao bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain milky sweetness. Despite the strength, fairly smooth and well rounded. Great balance. Very nice.

Keg at BD Inverurie. It poy pretty much jet black, darkest brown perhaps with a sturdy beige head. The aroma is nutty, woody, rich roasted malt, plenty of coffee to it, dark roast, cacao nibs, chocolate ganache and mocha The taste is dry, bitter, rich roasted malt, creaminess, smooth, but only limited sweetness, bitter - sweet chocolate, creamy coffee, nutty, toasted oak, light tannin, peppery spice and just a touch of alcohol with a smooth roasty finish. Fulsome body, moderate carbonation and fluffy mouth feel. Rounded, flavourful and moreish. All comes together very well. Nice stuff.
