CARL's Special is a spiced and full-bodied bottom-fermented beer, brewed on the basis of the Bavarian tradition. It is dark golden in colour. The aroma has a malty character with a caramel-like and roasted character. The flavour is slightly sweet with a fine balance between bitterness and fullness.

Keg at Fingerbollet, CPH, 02/05/15. Rich chestnut brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is caramel, vanilla, grain, malty notes. Taste comprises caramel malt, toffee, light fruit notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok.

Fingerbollet, Copenhagen. Keg. With Colin and Reubs. Clear amber beer, small cream colour head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Mild malts. A little dried fruits. Crisp finish. There isn’t that much here to get offended about, something of a fresh air beer.

Burk från skånekompis, tack Tomas! Svag brödig doft. Fin färg. Smakar inte mycket, fegt Carlsberg. Men funkar likväl i glada vänners sällskap.

Draught @Hotel Ribe, Ribe. Pours brown colored with a lasting off white head. Oh no, sulphur in aroma, some caramel. Watery brew. Caramel, malt, toast. Thin body.

On tap at La Vecchia Signora, Copenhagen. Copper coloured pour with a white head. Aromas of toffee, raisin and sweet malt. Flavours of raisin and sweet malt. Not too bad.
