Zitrusartiger Abgang. 11/8/9/11/11/11

The beer foam properly. Slightly bitter, bitter soon after, so it remains until the end. This balanced but the dry aromatic finish pulls. Otherwise, a traditional export

Bottle looks simple, but good. Beer in the glass a bit light, nice head. Starts mild, modest hoppy-dry. Finish shows some lemon notes, modest spicy. Could be a bit stronger.

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a fluffy white foam. Medium-sweet grainy and cereal-like aroma with a light herbal hoppy notes, accompanied by honey-fruity accents. Bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a crispy carbonation. Grainy, malt-accented taste with light notes of honey on a herbal background. Quite dry, slightly bitter finish with a delicate herbal hoppy touch. Once again a Hoepfner brew of reliable quality (02.05.07).

Bottle. Almost golden-colored body, clear, with a small, white head. Decent maltyness in the aroma, especially compared to the pilsner, and it has some fruity hops as well. It’s not a world-class aroma though. The flavor is, like the aroma, grainy, malty and fruity, leading to a hop-fruity finish without much bitterness. Thin to medium body. I’m not overly impressed by the beer, but it’s quite drinkable. (070705)
