Barleywine aged 36 months in Laird's Apple Brandy barrels.
We followed our typical imperial stout SOP on our new custom brewhouse to brew a big, robust barleywine. We've said this before and we keep outdoing ourselves but the end result was the biggest all-grain barleywine we've ever made, and one of the largest grain bills we've ever put together to date. After an extended boil, we laid this behemoth beer down into freshly dumped Laird's Apple Brandy barrels for 36 months. This is Bob's favorite beer.

Draught, taster @Mikkeller Viktoriagade, Copenhagen (Denmark). 04/05/2023. [#6.221 Global - #1.004 United States of America - #20 Voodoo Brewing Co.] Pours black with no head. Aroma: strong bourbon barrels, brandy and spiced malts. Warming aroma. Taste: barrel aged whiskey malts, apple brandy and roast. Warming finish. Excelent sipper. Next one please!

Tap @ Mikkeller, Viktoriagade. Black with a small brown head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt, dried fruit and brandy. Flavor is very sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish with warming alcohol. 040523
