Can from Aldi, Inverurie. It pours crystal clear lager yellow with a thick, handsome white head. The aroma is green, least, grassy, some green veg, runner beans, rich tea biscuit, sponge cake and metallic twang. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, touch of bitterness, grassy, leafy, green veg, green beans, cabbage , metallic vibes, grain and some nuttiness with a drying finish. Average body and moderate+ foamy carbonation. A classic style lager bier. Served cold it crushes pretty well. Green veg character because more obvious as it warns up. Ok.

Attracted to the tartan label on this one, but the palate didn't agree after a taster so discarded off the impending flight of beers. Lageresque hopped brew not realising it was a lager before trying.

Can, gift from secret Santa. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of biscuit and grain. Flavour of metal and a sharp, hoppy finish. Thin to medium body with a watery texture. Light fizz. Sharp and astringent - not great. I couldn’t finish the can.

Can thanks to Irma. Appearance - pale yellow and clear. Fluffy white head. Nose - earthy, green plant stalk and mushy peas. Taste - dry, green plant stalk and bitter salad leaf. Palate - light bodied, intensely dry middle and finish. Overall - quite a challenging pilsner but still a pilsner by style.

Keg at the Cold Town taproom, Edinburgh, 24/02/23. Clear golden with a good sized lasting white cap. Nose is toasted malts, grains, grass, hit of lemon, cereals. Taste comprises pale malts, grass, hedgerow, straw, cereals. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so lager ... rather cold and bland.
