Cloud 9 Double Barrel is an offspring of the original Cloud 9 Imperial Stout. The beer was first barrel-aged in selected bourbon barrels for 18 months. It was then transferred to freshly emptied bourbon barrels previously containing our barleywine, Phoenix 2021, and was patiently barrel-aged for another 6 months. Gently treated with high-quality cacao nibs, vanilla pods, and toasted coconut for additional complexity.

The beer only exists in very limited quantities, served at special places, for special occasions.

We recommend a serving temperature of around 14C, for the best drinking experience.

Taster during MBCC 2023 Friday morning session shared with Ryan, Matt, Phill, Erik, and Brian. Whiskey, dark fruits, moderately sweet. Good for what it is.

MBCC. Black without head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and bourbon. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. Oily. 050523

Tap. Black color with beige head. Aroma is bourbon juice, all the caramel and vanilla, some nuttiness. Taste is the same, sweet but not too sweet, barrel warmth, just tasty. Velvety mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very tasty!
